My Leica Story
Over the year as a professional photographer, I’ve always searched for the best way to obtain the exact shoot I wanted. As many others I found in the Leica camera a trustworthy and reliable companion.

Some of my shots were published in the book “Inspiration Leica Akademie“. This new book is like an inspiring visit to a gallery. Heidi and Robert Mertens, the editors, have curated outstanding pictures taken by 76 Leica Akademie photographers from 16 countries worldwide. Each picture tells a story that will bring the viewers further along their unfolding photographic journey, to learn how to recognize and capture decisive moments, how to change perspective to gain creative opportunities, how to let rules be rules, and how to reveal less, yet imply much more.

Exclusively for this book, Leica photographers such as Dominic Nahr, René Perez, Herbie Yamaguchi, Fulvio Bugani and Laxmi Kaul travelled around the world to visualize the special features of each country and its connection to Waldorf Education. The volume thus becomes a unique snapshot of the world’s largest free school movement. About 120 color and black-and-white pictures show current insights into Waldorf schools in 40 countries, which are accompanied by quotations on Waldorf Education – by Rudolf Steiner, among others – in German and English.
