Be part of a masterclass workshop with Leica Ambassador and World Press Photo award-winning photographer, Fulvio Bugani in Barcelona, from September 30 to October 4, 2022.
Fulvio Bugani is known for his colorful and complex images. Shadow and light, which make up different layers in the images, are significant elements in his compositions.
The photo editor Félix Merino will be with the group of photographers one afternoon for a talk and a review of the pictures taken in Barcelona.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to capture meaningful color images, which is a kind of art, this is the right workshop for you.
In this 4-day workshop you have the opportunity to develop a personal vision and you will learn advanced techniques on the interpretation of light, the use of shadows, the complexity of the composition and the coexistence of different layers in the image.
BARCELONA
Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain. It is easy to become fascinated with this city, rich in visual elements and with a colorful soul. Centuries-old culture and tradition can be photographed as background of this cosmopolitan city, always open to new trends, laying the groundwork for interesting contrasts of “old versus new”.
In a city as vibrant as Barcelona, lights, shadows, colors and sounds can become vivid elements of your street photography. Its medieval center, the Gothic Quarter, the modernist buildings of the Eixample, the neighborhood with sea views, the wonderful Barceloneta and a colorful nightlife are elements of contrast and inspiration for your photographic creativity.

The street photography workshop is open to photography students, advanced amateurs or young professional photographers who wish to enhance their photographic skills to understand complex street photography situations while managing the variables of light and color and people.

FULVIO BUGANI
Fulvio Bugani started working as a photographer in 1995. After a close collaboration with the most important photographic studios in Bologna, he founded his own studio in 1999: Foto Image.
Bugani has been a freelance professional photographer for more than 20 years, working with associations and NGOs.
Among other recognitions, in 2015 he was awarded in the World Press Photo, for his work on Indonesian transgender Muslim. While in 2016 his reportage about Cuba was selected as one of the 12 finalists for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award.
He has been chosen by Leica as its International Leica Ambassador for the launch the Leica M10 and has worked for major international brands and artists like Juventus, Leica Camera, Universal Music, Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari, Lamborghini.
